Samsung MagicInfo digital signage

Samsung MagicInfo Pro digital signage

Digital signage can be used for advertising, branding or avoiding public confusion by providing up-to-date information, such as flight info, local info, news, weather and terminal map, as shown in the picture above.

MagicInfo Pro uses an Ethernet network for servers and monitors, and transfers media files (image files, music files, and movies) and office files (HTML, PDF) from the server to the monitors over the network.

Multiple monitors are connected to a server via a network and the server can transfer files to all the monitors at the same time or a single file to a single monitor.

Samsung MagicInfo Pro is easy to use. You create your content, i.e. image files, music files, etc.  Next, you schedule the content, for example, showing one signage content between 9-11am, and another between 11-4pm, and on what days of the week and for how long.  Finally, you then publish your digital signage message to the Samsung LCD screen.

You may have one lot of content being shown in reception area, another in the restaurant and one in the staff room.  When you want to add another screen at a future date, you simply connect it to the network.

We are able to offer a pre-sales demonstration to show you how MagicInfo Pro can be tailored to your requirements.    To make an appointment, at no cost to yourself, please call us on 01754 769967.

Samsung MagicInfo i is a web based solution. A user can arrange various objects such as graphic, text video, animation, clock, logo, etc. and generate effective presentations.

The MagicInfo-i Server is a web-based management tool that manages content and devices and organizes and publishes content.   A user can connect to the server and control devices remotely and organize content with various effects using their web browser.

Repeat Signage Standard Edition

Repeat Signage Standard Edition

Repeat Signage 2010 is truly flexible digital signage software for Windows. It allows pixel-by-pixel control of displays including plasma screens, LCD monitors and projectors.

Repeat Signage Standard Edition is for use over local area network (LAN). You can insert a variety of media to bring your signage message to life. Insert pictures, animated .gifs, audio, clock (round) or clock (text), .PDFs, shape, text, RTF documents or formatted text, RSS feed, video, webcam and web browser.

Once inserted, you can easily edit your selection. For instance, after inserting a picture, you can have it scrolling in different directions, apply transparency colour, colour effects such as greyscale, add borders or change shape, edit size, rotate, flip or fade.

You can also enable a playlist. An estate agent could, for example, have a folder of house images, and set the software to show each house for 5 seconds each. He could have house images scrolling across the screen, or fading in and out at intervals.

Within the Repeat Signage software, there will shortly be a media library of images, audio, clocks, movies, etc., for you to use. Or you can insert your own images, etc., from your computer.

Repeat Signage digital signage software allows you to create new presentations, play the presentations on a dedicated computer, laptop or signage player (not included). You can also open an existing presentation. You can display your presentation onto multiple monitors.

Help files are accessible within the software package, and training videos are available at www.repeatsoftware.com/Training.aspx

Repeat Signage Standard Edition is stand alone digital signage software for local area network use (LAN). When displaying the same presentation on multiple monitors, one licence key is required. However, if you wish to display five presentations over five or more monitors, then you need a licence key for each one presentation, in this example, five licence keys.

Repeat Signage Standard Edition is available only as a digital download.  Anyone who purchases, will be emailed a licence key to use the software.

This software is designed to be used in reception areas, on exhibition stands and in individual shops. You can design a presentation and then just play on the screen. The presentation can be quickly and easily updated on the player computer or on a computer network drive.  Presentation changing is done manually, or the latest version of a default presentation is collected from a network drive when the computer is turned on each day.  You can do hourly, daily and weekly scheduling on most controls such as pictures, videos and text.

Professional Edition (not available until Spring 2011)

This version includes a scheduler for controlling when presentations are played and is designed for larger organisations that need to update schedules and presentations remotely.   Presentations, playlists and content files (such as pictures, videos, etc) can be downloaded from either an FTP site or the company's website.

For example, a large retail change of confectioners may have shops all over the country, or even internationally.  At head office, new presentations may be created daily with daily (or timed) special offers on.  These are uploaded to the companies website (in a hidden folder).  Each player computer attached to a plasma screen (or LCD monitor or projector) reads it's play list from this website, via FTP or HTTP, and then downloads schedules, presentations and content files (such as pictures, videos, etc) and plays them.   As long as the player computers in the individual shops are connected to the Internet, then this process happens automatically.  All the managers in the shops have to do is to turn on the player computer.

PADS stand alone digital software

PADs digital software, sold separately or pre-installed on a dedicated PC

PADS (public area display system) software has three elements: designer, manager and viewer. Designer, which is easy to use design and layout application, is Windows based, so the icons look familiar. You can select .PDFs, JPEGs, movie files or add text messages to compose your messages.  You can even link databases.  There are no licence issues on the designer part of the software, so several people could have designer on their PC to design messages, but you can only send the message to one display screen using the viewer part of the software, per licence.  The other element of the software is manager, which lets you schedule and send presentations to multiple screens within a 24 hour period.

When we used PADS, we started with a blank page, dragged a text box on the page, right clicked to get into the text box properties and wrote a simple greeting message.  We then selected the .PDF icon and brought in a .PDF, added a movie, and then clicked preview to see our message. We then did another message on page 2, and could have one page running for a certain time period, with the second page following at a given time.  A 30 day free trial download is available for PADS.
